I'm there ...

Announcement of arrival at JB was announced a while ago and now awaiting immigration officer to perform random passport check in the deck.

Not sure why they have to check it because the passengers will still have to go thru the custom & immigration office soon for endorsement.

Just got checked and they did it twice! Maybe they were just too random until not realise checking the same passenger twice :p

Once I got out from railway station, I was totally puzzled as I don't know where to take bus to the nearest MRT. Luckily I have my iPhone4 and launch the Google Map to check. There is a bus stop right across the street and took 75 to Outram Park then to Hougang. I was totally sweat and tired when I reached my HDB as it was hot sunny day and with my camera bags and luggage !

Without wasting any time, I've to settle down my stuffs and quickly go out to do some groceries. It's not much for a single living man but the list isn't short neither.

Tick tock tick tock ... Clock still tickling (=|

Here I'm now, at KL Sentral Gate B waiting for my train "Senandung Sutera" to Singapore. If I'm not mistaken, it was "Senandung Malam" about 20 years ago (damn, I started to hate numbers) :p

20 years ago, I was so excited and very much expecting the 'voyage to SG via train' but now, the very day, I've mixed feelings :-

1) I miss my family especially kids
2) I received so many wishes and farewell session and I shouldn't disappoint them
3) I've made a BIG decision to TRY something new could be potentially a RISK. I'm fine if still single but I'm not. My shoulder is pretty heavy
4) I need to fight for better tomorrow, my kids education, savings and retirement planning

When I was at the gate around 10pm, just few people near waiting area

but when reach 10:20pm, the crowd started to increase

Walking towards my deck

Seems I went wrong to L3 where mine was L1 :p

Here we go ... Intercity KUL -> SG

This round I've got 19, upper deck

It's almost feel like sleeping in coffin, not much space ...

Ok, I will get some sleep soon ... aircond seems low and bit stuffy. Have to use my desk calendar as manual fan until I fall asleep. Oyasumi nasai ...

Dress Up - iPhone4

My tool just got dressed up; anti-glare and anti-finger print screen protector (RM49) and Nude Switch Easy transparent black casing (RM89).

I actually requested the free case by Apple by downloading and execute the app before 30-Sep but delivery take 1-3 weeks :(

This tool isn't cheap and better get it dress up rather than sorry ...

Moving stuffs to SG cum family trip

It was my last day in sitravon yesterday and today I will need to move my stuffs to kiasuland and settle some administration tasks such as collection of EP, survey bank and mobile subscription. As I'm traveling with my family and minimize the traveling cost therefore I've to drive there and depart from KL at 6am !!!

Due to some hunger and still sleepy, we've took a pitstop at R&R overhead bridge near Ayer Keroh and I can tell you the KFC breakfast sucks BIG time, not tasty, cold and not worth the value that I paid. After the breakfast, we went straight to SG's MOM to collect my EP.

Again, their service is fabulous and it just took me 5 mins to collect my EP and we're talking about government service!

Some sneak preview how my new office look like :-

After the collection, me and my family went for lunch at Food Republic @ Vivo City then follow by Sentosa.
Though it's a revisit trip but we had great fun as well. As I mentioned earlier that this is a budget trip hence we have to stay overnight at JB and revisit to SG the next morning :(

The next day, I went to drop my stuffs at my newly rented room and pay up my landlord for the remaining deposit and went for last shopping at Bugis. Coincidentally, the iPhone4 is back in town after 2 months of shortage and revised plan so I took the opportunity to grab it while I still can :)

Finally, I'm being 'i'ed :p
Welcome to the iBrotherhood ...

Tanggal 23 September 2010 - Assignment completed

Today marked the final day for me to serve the company. There is no U turn or hesitation but to move forward. Had a great lunch with my fellow colleagues and glad they like the pepper BKT too. It's been months since I join them for lunch :)

After the fruitful lunch, I thought I could have some errand to pack up my stuffs and chit chatting with my colleagues before I leave the office but I can't enjoy that due to pending handovers to my successor :(

It was schedule to complete it the day before but due to unforeseen circumstances, have no choice but to postpone it. After 2.5 hours of handover, I quickly ran back to my cubicle to perform the exit/outboarding process and surrender belongs back to the company (eg. finance to clear my corp card/claims, IT to return laptop, Admin to return keys, stationaries .... you name it). It was close to 7pm by then and luckily some of my colleagues still around that time and I manage to bid everyone of them.

Once things need to be done is completed, like before, I stare and greet my cubicle for the last time before the new owner taking it up and as well to take my cactus buddies with me ... So long sitravon and my fellow colleagues!

It's my turn ... finally

I've been governing user ID, access, administration since day 1 I join this company. I've seen so many delete requests, perform the actual deletion and even hundred of users but this time, I've receive a VVIP request, which is for myself ;)

I've mixed feelings now and it seems this request is so meaningful yet memorable. KOKKE1, thanks for accompany me for the past 5 years and let's hope we will have a better tomorrow. All the best ... thank you

P/S: I've lost my mind :S

Exhausted Day Trip

Here I am ... to settle MOM and secure a room in kiasuland. As I need to maximise my time there, therefore I've to fly at early morning and be back at nite. Though the flight was 7:45am but I've to wake up at 5am (get ready, drive, check in, etc) sigh. The best thing was, when I reach LCCT at 6am, it was hustle and bustle and as if the traffic during peak hour!

Initially plan to have a nice breakfast at Old Time but their customer service sucks big time (what to do as their business is doing very well) therefore I've turn to Mary Brown Breakfast Set F (sigh).Food wise just so so but since I'm in rush ... I don't see much choice for me :(

Once reaching the airport, luck seems not on my side because :-
  1. Immigration traffic is very high
  2. Didn't realise my pen and Ezlink not with me !!!!! Hence need to queue for pen then immigration counter and finally buy a new Ezlink *sigh*
The MRT journey from Changi to Clarke Quay look pretty fast but in reality during rush hour is a nightmare! I suppose to reach office at 10am but only arrive around 10:15am. Luckily the MOM just around the corner otherwise I will be late :(

During my journey to MOM, I've been thinking am I too late? will there be very pack? how is their officer? so on and so forth but when I stepped in .... what a surprise and totally opposite of the world. The crowd is lesser than I thought, main entrance filled with self service kiosk and there is even officer walk to you and offer you help.

Instead of you going to the machine, self figure out or look at those instruction, they will do it for you with superb customer service attitude !!! Another thing I spotted was, there were a foreign couples puzzling around and there was an officer walk past them. Instead of just walk and go, that officer took his courtesy to greet and ask if help is needed. In addition, I can see MOM broadcasting all past complimentary messages from their customers everywhere in the hall.

Not really being kiasu or 'opposite field is always greenier' attitude but this is really an eye opener experience that I never had! Big applause for MOM of SG.

After MOM, have to get a quick bite and rush to survey and secure my room. In fact, I already have the selected room in my mind but still, better review it thoroughly to avoid disappointment. It's just few mins walk from Hougang MRT and the flat is newly renovated. Not to mention they have mall, restaurants, convenient stores nearby and CCTV in their lift. Besides, all my room furniture is brand new and the owner is very nice and hospitality.

Without any hesitation or 2nd thought, I've paid a small deposit and secure the room. This is a glance of my newly renovated room :)

After survey the room, I'm now terrible tired and exhausted due to early flights and been rushing since landed so I've decided to have a break at Chinatown for a leisure lunch and walkaround. Had Korean food as lunch and price tag is around MY but it's in SGD :(

Once my stomach is filled, then I quickly rush to Vivo City to have a quick peep for the Universal Studio and Genting Group Casino. All these has to be complete before 7pm as I will need to rush to airport (yes, it's a day trip!!!!). Entrance ticket to Universal Studio seems a bit deep (SGD70+) and surround is just so so only. Maybe it's still new. Also walk passed Casino entrance and a unique chocolate store, Hershey.

Main attraction at the entrance. Spinning globe with smoke beneath. Cool and nice spot for a pix

Casino entrance #1 - nothing special but very crowded that day due to Public Holiday in MY

Entrance #2, little grand and with a white Lamborghini to attract crowd. Pricey ....

This is the choc store that I refer, price tag seems affordable and something new to me. Will try it soon :)

I'm back !!!!!!!!

After register this blog for years, finally I'm back to start my blog life. This blog was created 3 years ago, when I was about to leave n0vart1s but due to certain reason, I retract my resignation and put this blog into hibernate.

Now, after 3 years, the same situation happen and this round will be more challenging as I'll be leaving to SG, leaving behind my family :(

It's a very hard decision but for better tomorrow, I've no choice but to make some sacrifices and I will still travel back to KL on every weekend. A lot of people ask me why not bringing them but I've told them precisely my objective to work there and would revisit this topic when I really get along there and stable down.

Counting the days, I still need to survive another 21 days and hope it will be a peaceful and memorable period for me.
