My dear stomach, ganbatte!

Today is another feast day and poor my stomach have to fulfill my food desire. Early in the morning, Jason already date our lunch gang to try out a nice beef noodle shop near Raffles. Nearby beef noodle shop, they also have a popular prawn noodle. Looks like I will have new territory for lunch ;)

About 11am, I was surprise to see a post it note on my table and the color is so sharp. It's actually a farewell note from Sook Kian as today is her last day! I was so surprised and kinda sad to know this because she just sit next to me and always chat with me, especially during lunch hour where most people left for lunch and I came back from early lunch. Also she was clearing her work because she's a contractor and only work for half day everyday.

The note
According to her, she will rest for a while and look for another job if she feel to work later. As remembrance, we took some picture with her and exchange our contact details.

About 12:30pm, we finally leave office for lunch. We suppose to leave at 12pm but due to some people stuck up with some issues, had to delay it. Instead of hungry, I was starving. Once we reach the restaurant, it was so pack as our timing consider late but luck seems on our side as manage to find a table about 5 mins later. For beef noodle, I will normally and only take beef ball noodle and ordered a soup based with kuay teow. My other colleague order same with me but dry based. It seems totally different taste where with thick beef taste gravy and special beef soup. Guess will have to try the next time ;)

The taste is good but portion seems a bit small but I've already ordered a medium size which cosst S$5.50. Same goes to others as well, so we went for dessert otherwise we will hungry around tea break. After work, it's about night and went out with colleague to have dinner at Plaza Singapura. Although there are so many restaurant, one of them was craving for KFC so we ended up there. This time, is my first time having KFC in the restaurant and ordered 3 pcs too. Glad to know they have chicken wing although it's Original flavour. In KL, long time we don't have that unless you take hot and spicy.

By the time we leave, it's about 11pm and it was late for me to Skype with my family so I've decided to try using my laptop with USB modem to get online and Skype in the MRT. Surprising the signal is very good and consistent throughout the whole journey. I can even do web conference with good quality and facebook games seems not as bad as I thought. Maybe we chat too long and my stomach seems a bit empty. So I decided to quickly wash my cloth, shower then cook instant noodle. Guess will be another late night sleep for me :(

Calm and Sleepy Monday

Here I am back to 'S' mode again and as usual, every Monday went to grab french toast as breakfast which cost only $1.20. As for drink, I had my orange juice which I've bought yesterday at Giant @ KL. Sort of oily and healthy breakfast combination.

While I was eating my breakfast, I'm also unpacking my laptop and set it up side by side with my corporate laptop. It's good that I can only use corporate laptop purely for work and keep it in office with kensington lock secured and besides with my mini laptop that I can do anything I want, anytime and anywhere. With my Starhub USB stick, I can work and FB, Skype, PPS, etc simultaneously ... cool ;)

Baby at his new office
Baby with his new Bro
Happy Family at Work! Alike mini control center
Nice isn't it? Tomorrow I will bring my mini Ms Mouse and then it will be perfect match for my new baby. During lunch, I'm going out with Carlo which I find him so fussy and being too much lately. The more I knew him the more I'm fed up with him. Try to be humble but his words is so commanding. No wonder now still single :p

Initially he was ok and he was such a particular person that always ask info from you and compare with his like annual leave, why your headset is ok but mine with some noise, even day one already complaint why his keyphone not showing his name (but the fact I don't give a damn and until now also I never report my keyphone isn't updated). Besides, always tell me where he travel before and he don't mind to pay for good food but in reality his taste isn't that much better and thought whatever soup with pork called BKT (come on) and gave me an impression that I can't differentiate it (WTF).

Now, he's also asking if water is safe to drink in SG, should he bring his own cutlery for lunch because afraid chopstick and spoon in food court are dirty. Come on ... I've told him SG isn't that bad and even if there is, it won't kill you and we are everyday eating and inhale bacteria into our body.

Like today, he asked me where to lunch and I knew he would have the place in mind because he indirectly complaint that I always not bringing him further place for food (come on, I'm saving money and not enjoying food everyday) and finally asked to go for Tiong Bahru Chicken Rice right opposite Central Mall. He said he saw it last week. Forgot to mention that he always think he can speak Chinese even he's a Filipino but only few words and keep showing off. When he can't think of the word just use English. That's why I never talk/reply to him in Chinese whenever he try to show he can talk and later dunno what words to use. Like in food court or today in chicken rice shop, firstly he spoke English then switch to Chinese and when the waitress asked her to confirm the chicken then he switch back to English and he don't even know what's the difference between roasted and steam chicken. OMG ... For me, I just order mine and directly paid for the food and don't bother to wait him to confirm his order with semi Chinese and English.

Fried Pork Rice with Braised Pork (steam cabbage as side vege)
The cost is $4.50, not cheap and not too pricey
When the food arrived, he asked me why his so expensive and I said he ordered a set and with a steam chicken + vege. He keep asking me if they will send him the vege ... WTF, you ordered and you don't know what you ordered? Even ask them also don't dare? Pls go and show off your Chinese mah ... Pathetic! So shut his mouth, I asked the waitress and they forgot to send him the vege and no wonder it's not coming. Just being courtesy, I still talk to him as usual and asked him if he will buy dSLR as salary is out and he's going to Shanghai soon (again) and guess what he replied? "I have no time for that and why should I take photo of China?", he said. WTF, last trip he wanted to buy and take photo and now said different things? I just replied, "How I know because you said wanted to take photo last time? It's up to you". Without another words, I just stop talking and just focus my food then back to office. After a while, not sure if he notice and said something stupid, "The vege is good eh" and I just replied "Oh ya".

When talk about this fella makes me recall things after another about him. Always asked me to go lunch and ask me to check with other members if they are coming. Come on, why can't you check with them? To me, if the gang want to go together they will inform everyone in advance and if they don't mean they have appointment. Such bossy and I will not entertain him anymore if he ask me again. I will just tell him off and check yourself as I've no time. I don't mind to lunch alone at least I get my own private time, enjoying my lunch and read news from my BB.

About 6:30pm, my MY colleague invited me and Akash

It's been quite sometime ...

It's been quite sometime I never wake up at 10am and I've done it today. Maybe I'm physically and mentallu tired and I slept around 2:30am this morning ;)

Luckily it's 10am because I've dim sum breakfast with dad and aunts at 11am. So still can rush up my family and leave house around 10:45am. Today can consider a 'Hi-Tech' brunch because my dad asked Violet to bring her laptop and he bring his too because my step sister just got back from KK and wanted Violet to teach her. As backup, I've brought my P1 and USB modem just in case there isn't any free WiFi.

Once we reach there, we have eat while waiting because my aunt was late and my family is hungry. After the breakfast, the cyber cafe session started. Have to find a socket nearby our table in order to power up the P1 as there really none free WiFi around. Most of the patrons and even workers keep looking at our table and try their luck to hook up my P1 but too bad, it's encrypted ;)

After the brunch, as usual do my weekly groceries then home to spend my remaining quality time with kids, also get my new 'baby' ready for action. About 7pm, have to go thru the painful routine where to leave them. When I left, went talk to KM and gave him a hugh and he seems ok this round. When I went to my car, saw him peeping me at window bid me good bye few times until I left.

I felt something unusual and plan to call his mother when I'm home but not even half journey, the mom called and told me he cried, again :'(

He was sobbing and when the mom asked him, he said nothing but keep holding his tear but when the mom mentioned me, his eyes was watery and cried a bit. Man, this is real tough for me ... This morning the mother already asked me if I really come back next year which I'm planning that too because I need to spend more time with my kids as this is a crucial period for me to be with them, guide them and give them love and care.

Once I'm home, I did Skype with them and he's better now. Maybe it's normal for him to be sad but after a day or two, things should be fine. Let me observe and see how things going. If situation is getting worst and still the same, I shall plan my return to KL after CNY provided I can do internal transfer or secure a job in KL.

When I'm at train station, I called them again and found they are fine now. It's good and I can relief now. Hopefully I can save money faster so I can come back faster. By the time I'm back, I might not update this blog again. Are you sure? ;)

It's 10:50pm and I'm in train now. I'm still at lower bunk but this round quite near to entrance. First time ever to be so close the entrance and hope it will not that noisy and disturbing. Will sleep soon and be prepare for another week in SG. Oyasumi nasai ...

Good sleep and punctual schedule

I guess last night was the best sleep ever because I fell asleep as soon as I went back to train after the immigration checkpoint. By the time I woke up, it’s already 5am and it should be somewhere Melaka border. Based on the progress and timing, I believe my train will readh KL Sentral around 7am.
Had some water then went back to sleep again and KTMB already made announcement that we will be reaching KL Sentral soon and that was about 6:35am. Cool, long time never arrive such early. This round I don’t have to buy ticket because I have already book Aeroline bus service for the week of 22nd Dec because I will be on half day 24th Dec and I can leave SG early. If by train, it will be too late and I have nothing to do in SG.

Once I back home, quickly shower and fetch my family because today will be full with appointments. Have to send Violet’s laptop for repair at Low Yat, then went for cloth shopping for Violet too and have dinner with dad. When I reach ThunderMatch at Low Yat, those technicians are real scum bag and try to push away responsibility. Dell told me vendor should inform us to buy the Windows CD or else vendor can still help me to re-install the OS. But according to vendor, they said as user, you should backup yourself and no CD provided and Dell should help us. This is an all time classic problem where everyone is blaming each other.
Cut story short, I’ve complaint and last negotiation was to join ThunderMatch membership at RM20 and they will re-install the OS and backup the image into DVD for me. I really have no time to discuss further and better use the time for something else. They told me it will be ready in 4 hours so I should only return to collect at evening.

About 12:30pm, we proceed for lunch and I was keen to take Esquire Kitchen because it’s quite sometime I never had meal there. I can still remember when I was a kid, it’s a very nice and cozy restaurant where the lighting were dim and with special semi-round green sofa and a ceiling lamp right above the table. Fish & Chips was my all time favourite by then. When I check out their menu for set/dishes, they still selling that and only selected branch are having it !!!

In hope to find the taste similar to the one I had in childhood, it was rather disappointing and so pricey, RM16.90 which is almost the same price as Manhattan Fish Market. When bill come, it was almost RM80 and I really hate myself for eating there. No more, that’s it … this is what my heart keep cursing Sad smile
Next tasks, to buy clothing for Violet because most of her clothing doesn’t fit anymore and old too. When come to undergarment section, she insist to buy sports bra because easy and handy but I’ve advised her that she shouldn’t use that for daily use because it’s not supporting the boobs properly and it may crooked, especially she’s growing now. End up I bought her 2 convention bra and 1 sport bra.

When we went down to Lot 10’s ground floor, Acer is running some road with other laptop brands in conjunction of YTL’s YES Broadband campaign. Went there to check out and survey. Initially wanted to check for 15.6” LED laptop with good spec because Shireen’s laptop was conquered by Kai Meng and she wanted to buy a new one, with instalment if possible so we don’t have to pay so much and financially not too tight.

She have eyed her fav model but later decided to postpone because if I will return to KL next year, then no point buying it and she can still share with Kai Meng. No point buying so many laptops and waste money. Instead of she buying it, I’ve grab a netbook, AspireOne Happy – a new launch with colorful design. It’s only RM1,299 at promotion for this weekend with free YES! Model and free RM100 credit in it. They provide free interest flexi loan so I just need to pay RM100 for 12 months and this baby is mine. My intention is to return the loan laptop from my SG friend and I can bring this baby anywhere in SG like in office, I can officially use it for my personal use like FB as I’ve my USB modem. At night, I can use it to Skype with my family at outside when it’s late and I’m still out there (also KM might sleep early too). And when comes to travelling between KL and SG, I can watch movie and update my blog anywhere on the road.

With my new monitor and laptop, it’s actually cost lesser than a brand new laptop where I have good visual quality at home and mobility  to get online and entertainment anywhere. Here’s the baby and I will spend my night to setup it and also backup the image because it also doesn’t provide CD and lessen learnt from Violet’s case Winking smile

Smuggling a bomb from SG to KL

As last nite slept around 2am, this morning still feel tired but it good because I can really sleep well in train tonite. Before leaving house, I've to ensure I bring all my stuffs like key, passport, tick, etc because I'm a bit tired and might forget. Luckily I think for a moment before I shut my door because I forgot to bring my camera charger :(

Once back to office, I was so surprised and happy to know I only have 40+ new emails over the nite because I normally have at least 100+ emails. Reason being? Thanks for Thanksgiving day in US ;)

Because of this, I have less emails, not much work and the best thing is no 8:30pm call. Better enjoy for today as next week everything will back to normal. Also I've check out with the group went for drinking session. Luckily I didn't join them because the bill is so high. $220 for 4 persons. They just had a main course and a beer!!! Clarke Quay mah :)

Today lunch, they seems wanted to go Raffles Place as they need something different and new. Also so many leng luis there too ;) To me the food is just so so because that's a halal chain foodcourt, meaning all the food there can be consume my Muslim. I find most of the cook still Chinese and I'm sure the Muslim are the one who prepare the food. My lunch? Loh Mee ...

About 4+pm, while I was focusing on my work, I suddenly feel my head is getting heavy and seems not feeling well. The longer I try to forget it, the heavier it become. When I shutdown my laptop, I could barely sit straight and head feels like expanding. As if the brain is pushing against my skull. Damn I thought I can 'jalan-jalan' at Vivo before to Tg Pagar and guess have to cancel it.

I've to walk very slow and try not to use so much brain. When I was at Vivo, I did tried to browse around but give up later because it's so pain until I afraid will blackout in the middle of the mall. Not to mention I'm carrying quite a number of SGD notes. To be on safe side, better have dinner at food court and rest a while.
Dinner is something different, Fried 'Choy Tau Kuey' ... so different than KL. Look like fried egg to me.

The food court seems so noisy it helo my brain to amplify the pain right into my nerves. So I've decided to go Tg Pagar at 9pm, which is my earliest trip there since I'm here. I had no choice but to hope the train is punctual this round. Hope no more delay or breakdown, touch wood. While I'm going out from Vivo, saw a mini cooper with 3 men masked with wolf face. No idea what were they doing?

Wanted to buy some candy for kids at Choc Empire but the queue to cashier is very long. Perhaps next time la. Around 9:20pm, I'm already at Tg Pagar and the train already there, lite up and seems can be board anytime. Okla, that's for today as I need to off my engine and switch to recovery mode. Ciao!

Another Feast Day :(

I suppose to cut down my food intake today as yesterday was a feast day to me but life is like that ... Another colleague asked for lunch and wanted to go to Song Fa BKT again because he didn't join us yesterday and he's so craving to that. Guess what? We go there again for lunch and this round seems more food to share like pork trotter. OMG, I can literally feel my stomach was bloated right after the lunch ... which is very rare ever since I moved to SG ;)
Our feast for the lunch
Ya, again pork rib for me :(
Pork trotter

Same vege and bean curd

Also "You Tiao"
This time, there were 6 of us and bill come at $58.20. For easy calculation, each of us paid $10 ... seems not cheap for lunch and the best thing was ... everything 'sapu kow kow'

Damn carnivores
Another heavy lunch and luckily I have many things to do otherwise I might ending sleepy all the way to evening. During tea break, one of my colleagues went to buy some snack and guess what he bought for me? CHEESY NACHOS !!!! I always wanted to try that but no chance ... Overall, I think the nachos is fine but the cheese isn't strong enough. Good to know the cheese still warm when I got it.

Finally after work, I can really enjoy myself because most urgent issues were settled and TC for today and tomorrow were cancelled due to holiday in NY, YES !!!!! Around 7pm, there were 2 choices for me ... to join one gang to have happy hour at Clarke Quay or dinner at Thai Restaurant in Vivo City. If you were me, which you will choose?

For $$$ wise ... better take the 2nd choice and I don't think can enjoy to the fullest if were at Clarke Quay because tomorrow still need to work. It will be fun if they can do it on Friday and I can get myself drunk and sleep all the way from Tg Pagar to KL Sentral ... kekeke. In brief, nothing special about this Thai Restaurant and just took few pix to share with you.

Thai Fish Cake - must have but pricey
Garlic sauce for the fish cake ... not bad

Soft Shell Crab with Garlic. Seems like Fried 'Sotong' to me :p

Finally, my fav clear tom yam soup. Too bad as it's too sour :(

Feast day ...

Apart of lengthy work today, I've went to Song Fa Bak Kut Teh near Clarke Quay (near my office too). I was told it's very popular and tasty. As I'm a BKT lover, of course will not hesitate to join them ;)
I was told it's a pepper based and with personal set so you can order your preferred part of the meat. Frankly I preferred the big claypot style but it's not bad either because you don't have to share with others and force to eat some part that you don't really like.

Luckily we went there on early because it's quite pack during lunch hour. Good thing is their customers turnover rate is quite fast. For me, I've ordered pork rib set, medium size which cost $5.50 and when the food is served, we have to pay on the spot ... so strange. Here's the food :-

Pepper BKT
You Tiao
Foo juk
On the first bite, I feel a bit disappointed because the pepper soup based is a bit diluted and taste so mild. Meat wise is okay and soft. When I tried the 'yao char kwai', it taste like bread and not crunchy ... maybe it's not fresh but you can see inside is a bit yellowish. As for the 'foo juk' is normal la and I prefer those fried and crunchy because when you deep it into the hot claypot ... yummy ;)

Once back to office ... damn, work is awaiting for me :(
Maybe I had a nice lunch so ended up I only left work around 9pm something ... Dunno what to eat and suddenly think of buying KFC back home and watch PPS with my new LED monitor, kekeke

This time I bought "Ultimate Value Box", which is exactly what KL has ... X-Meal, 1pc of chicken, 1pc burger, 1 whipped potato and 1 regular pepsi which cost $5.50

Damn, I'm too addicted to the HK drama "Princess Arrive", I'm watching episode #6 and time now is almost 3am. Shit, how am I going to work tomorrow?

Gran Turismo Day

Ok, shopping spree is over and I should really close my pipe real tight otherwise I will end up with no savings. At least to get my debts settle ;)

Ok, guess what's this? It's one of the things I bought but haven't got chance to enjoy it. Check my yesterday's blog if you can't find any clue :-

Ok, check already? So mind to tell me the answer?

Yes, that's it! Gran Turismo for PSP ... which I've bought it at very incredibly cheap price. I've checked the box and cover and don't seems to be counterfeit or pirated copy so I will check Mustafa out if I need new PSP games in the future. Once I pop the disc in and power it on, it's load and opening demo is just like PS/2.5 where it's better than PS/2 but can't beat PS/3 ;)

Didn't manage to play for long in office, better do it tonight but it's quite good to play in your own cubicle during lunch time ;)

Left office around 7pm and have dinner at Plaza Singapura which makes me recall and miss my family as they were here last week. I even took my 8:30pm TC there and remind me walking in "Spotlight" during my last week TC ... How much I miss them.

Real mushroom soup from Pizza Hut, brown in color with sliced mushroom there. Something new!

Chicken cutlet

New 7 cheesy Pizza ... Too much cheese for me :p
Before I leave for Hougang, I went to browse some stalls near the entrance and found something cool and bet Violet would like it. It's Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince book, seems some popup and photos for this film which cost only $14. I think she can buy it during her next trip in Dec.

Seems the last one and a bit old to me
