This morning, I feel I had a good and sufficient sleep. Because I know I need to move my stuff back to my original cubicle, I've decided to wake up a bit early and iron my shirt. Then shower and dress up and I really feel a good start for the day but not long after that, I heard water dripping and damn ... it was raining ! Really 'sou heng'. Because I've no umbrella then I've to wait until it almost stop otherwise I will be wet before I can reach the MRT station. Dunno why SG rain isn't heavy but can last for hours :-
Anyhow, I manage to reach mrt station with least raindrop and I travel to office as usual. After I got into mrt, I notice I've one calender reminder from my BB and guess what, it was my orientation day for new hire which start at 9am but my watch show 8:50am !!!! Shit, I know I'm going to be stare by the people there and I quickly email my HR to count me in although I'm going to be late ... say about 9:15am. During the journey, it feel like years whenever I feel in rush. Once I'm at office, I quickly walk over to my temp cubicle and move my stuffs back to my original cubicle then ran over to the training room. I was there about 9:20am but the workshop still not started. I even get some time to enjoy the light refreshment and tea break. Damn, wasted my energy to rush !!!
The session is generally good (although I've already knew most of the information because I started early Oct) and we had a questionnaire at the end of the session. Surprisingly my team won the quiz and awarded with some gift ... that doesn't suit me and will go straight to my wife's pocket (at least better than nothing lo).
After the session, it's about 12:15pm and my colleague asked me to join them for Burmese food, sound interesting as I never try that before. So we walk to City Hall to try out that restaurant. It's in Peninsular Plaza and it gives me a perception a Indian/Burmese community area. Not sure if I heard correctly as that plaza owned by Burmese. Similar to Lucky Plaza near Orchard which outnumbered by Filipinos.

Chicken meehoon flourished with peanut, sesame and some spices |

Mixed nuts platter with minced tea leaves as sauce |
|
Deep fried bean curd |
|
Pork noodle with spices (they even put pork fat but I removed them) |
In general, the food seems so so and I don't quite like it ... weird combination of food/vege (similar to northern Thai or Vietnam). It has sweet, sour, spicy, salty among the food we ordered and just no food is bitter so far. Guess, this would be my first and last time trying that ... It's not that bad but maybe I don't appreciate it. Sorry :)
