This is the day .... ever since I've joined this project since last October, it finally went live. It's kind of mixed feelings as it's good to know it's almost complete after so many hardwork and late nights but at the same time knowing this buggy project and I might be leaving soon. What I hope is that this week will be a smooth one and no major issues arise.
Managed to reach office around 7:50am and was surprised to see such welcome gimmick "SMI Is Live!"
and each of the employee arrived at office will be given a hand cream by Aveda. Not sure the meaning and I though they are trying to hint 'smooth' Go Live for us today as hand cream will make our skin smooth mah :)
That's not all, when I arrive my cubicle, there was a balloon tied at my chair's arm and the same for all other cubicles ... with SMI colour theme, which is blue and white.
Ok, time's up ... better start dressing up like Prince Charming ... in white Polo T. There was a SMI logo at right side of the chest and behind is a strong, simple and short slogan "We Live and Breath ... SMI"
Also they have catering for lunch with tonnes of pizzas, wings and lasagna from PastaMania. I couldn't join them at pantry but to tah pau eat at my cubicle as it was a very hectic day for me. Too many common and small issues but when all accumulated and come together ... it's killing!
Time really flies today because I have several status check conference, enquiries, project tickets, production tickets, email request, etc ... all by myself. I do have a backup team but that person mostly deal with UK/EMEA stuffs. In additional, I also need to prepare some Group 2 details because I will have a meeting with all new Group 2 affiliates. If I can remember correctly, I left office around 9:35pm ... where I was quarter to full being exhausted. When I step out from my cubicle, saw my Finance Manager still working and I told her that let's go to office. She was amused for a while then I explained to her that we're now actually at home as we spent more than 12 hours here ... which almost equivalent to home. So when I refer go to office is actually referring to our REAL home :)
