It’s a YES but also a Sucky Sunday
Maybe I was too tired recently, so Kai Meng managed to get up earlier than me. As expected, he was at living room while playing his new Nintendo 3DS and the rest woke up around 9am. As Shireen need to get some Isetan vouchers for her company so we have went to Lot 10 at early hours. For a quick and economy breakfast, we went to McD opposite Lot 10 and that’s where I took the opportunity to have some words with Violet about her attitude and performance lately. Long story short, I have explain to her the problem and set some action items against it. I will put high observation to her from today onwards because she’s slipping dramatically and I need to pull her up before it’s too late.
While awaiting for Shireen to buy the vouchers, I went to Yes 4G booth for some survey and trial and found their speed is incredible fast! Almost 15MB for download, much faster than my Streamyx which only manage to top at 1.6MB!
When I checked further, the starter pack is quite reasonable and prepaid basis. In fact, I already have one dongle free when I purchased my Acer netbook but now the sales consultant told me that I can have one account to be used by 2 dongle simultaneously and the only fallback is the credit will be chip faster as the data rate has doubled. After some calculation, it’s still cheaper than P1 and I have decided to give it a try. This isn’t a sudden decision because I have long to cancel the P1 as the performance is getting poorer by days but I couldn’t find any alternative.

See the performance!
When I reach home and tested it, OMG, it manage to climb up to 6MB on average and pretty stable too. I know this time I have made the right investment and hopefully YES can maintain its performance when their customer based is getting larger. While having dinner at Pudu, I did another benchmark there and guess what … it stretched until 16MB !!!! OMG, it’s so nice to be at Pudu area and most probably because Times Square and YTL building are around that area. Will put it up for few days test before I confirm to remove P1. Violet suddenly pass me the "Wah Ji" that I bought her at SG last year and asked me to teach her how to play. It was one of my favourite games when I was a kid and it's good that I teach them now so they can inherit it to the next generation :)
Now at 11:15pm, I’m at KL Sentral blogging this at McD, having McNugget set just because to kill time. Why? Thanks to KTMB that my train has been rescheduled from 11pm to 1am and I’m stuck in between. Too late to go home and too much time to wander at KLS. Luckily they allow to refill but I might not do so as too much soda at night isn’t good to stomach. Will see how after this, maybe watch movie and play games … I dunno.
The best thing is, tomorrow I will be late to office and guess I couldn’t leave at 6pm sharp and really pissed me off because I already plan to leave office early so that I can rest early tomorrow night. When will KTM be much more professional? I do understand technical problem is unavoidable but at least early inform the passengers so that they can make the decision in advance. At this hour, you said full refund but what’s the point because there is basically no other transport to SG now and too bloody expensive to get flight. Are they out of their mind? If they are rich, they wouldn’t have take train in the first place … WAKE UP KTMB!
