Post Birthday Feasts?

When I woke up this morning, I've told myself that it's now back to normal day. No more special treat for myself but seems it's not really true. Once I reach office, I went to prepare my usual rolled oat and during my way back to my cubicle, someone treat me a choc cake as they were celebrating their team member birthday. Look ok but too sweet for me. It may be taste good for dessert lovers.

About lunch time, I suppose to go for my budget mixed rice but my colleagues wanted to bring the newcomer to eat around and invite all of us go together. Initially they wanted to go eat the popular prawn noodle but because the new comer wanted somewhere air conditioned and not too far so we just went to Han's near Hong Lim Park. It's a fusion concept restaurant where they sell local delights, western food and as well as pastries and dessert. They are very systematic where they will take your order during your queue and once you handover your order to the cashier, they will collect the money then pass to kitchen to prepare your food. By the time you reach the collection area, you will see a bunch of waiter and cook preparing the food and something like Ratatouille (again) ;) Most of the cases, your food should be ready by then otherwise they will give you a number tag and send to you later.

I ordered "Hor Fun" and recommended by Jason as he's good with food around in town. Cost S$9.70 and food presentation is ok but taste just so so only. I rather pay the same money for the Cray Fish Hor Fun which is just S$6.50 ;)

About 5+pm, colleague asked me if I can join their business dinner as their POS vendor buying them seafood dinner buffet near Novena. As I've nothing to do so why not ... since it's free ;)

Once got out from Novena MRT, just walk towards United Square via the underground passage. Took around 5 mins walk and the underground passage look weird and a bit sloppy. When you've exit the passage, you will see United Mall and I saw some Christmas decoration. So just snap one pix as remember and not sure if I can collect all Christmas decorations in town :P

The restaurant is just below this mall and just opposite the Food Junction. Gave me a weird feelings because people went to Food Court to have budget meal but right opposite them are seafood buffet where they eat lobster, big crab, fishes, etc. A bit torturing for someone just barely can afford food court and but crazy for seafood :(

Vienna ... As if like in Europe?
Colourful fountain next to the restaurant
Round #1 - Scallop, Tenpura, Mini Losbter, Prawn and Chilli Crab
Welcome 'soup' - new customer get it once they are in ;)
Round #2 - Crab stick, Peking duck, Oat Prawn and Ablone fried noodle
See the prawn and baby abalone?
Sharkfinless Soup - added vinegar and pickled green chilli
Black Pepper Crab fried with 'Tung Fun' addon 2 pcs Inari
Mini cocktail - Peppermint Lemon, taste like Listerin
It's really small, comparing with normal juice glass
Cashier with 'Fireball'
I would say the food isn't that great, crab not so fresh and limited food varieties. The bill isn't cheap and average per pax is about S$44. Honestly, it's not worth for me because I don't eat much nowadays and will be 'rugi'. So better eat ala carte or traditional seafood restaurant. See, when you don't expect things, great things will automatically knock at your door ;)
