Lunar Calendar Birthday

~ALARM~ went off at 7:30am, as usual. I was thinking to myself ... should I eat the breakfast first or after settle down at office. As I only went to MRT around 8:45am, so better to settle down at office first because this will make me punctual to office and can take my own sweet time to enjoy the breakfast ;)

As I hardly, or never had egg and toast as breakfast, I really have no idea which restaurant to go. So once I reach People's Park Center, I just randomly pick one (which easily accessible) and luckily I found it at the first try. I was so blur because instead of asking for breakfast set, I order separately for toast, egg and milo. Luckily the owner advise me to take breakfast set otherwise I will have to pay more.

S$2.30 breakfast

Seems normal but I must have eggs today because it's my culture/habit to have it on every breakfast especially lunar calendar birthday. In addition, eggs also one of my favourites. I thought it can eat straight but the boss told me to eat after 5 mins. Why nowadays all shop owner so lazy and doesn't serve the ready eggs?

One word ... GROSS!

When I opened it, I sense something is very wrong because the egg whie looks greyish and brownish. Once I extending it further, sh*t, it was a rotten egg. Damn, seems not 'ong' and I quickly report to the boss for replacement. After waited for another 5 mins, I opened up the new set and this round seems normal (luckily).

Once done, I apply some pepper and when I want to reach the soy sauce ... (another) damn, I forgot S'porean use thick black sauce instead of normal soy sauce as I used in MY. So weird and no choice lor.

By the end, it seems so blackie but not salty or sweet (lebih punya). If the same colour in MY, this is a salted half boil egg and your kidney will be gone in no time. About lunch time, I wanted to do something different today. Instead of going for budget meal, I want to eat something different and I won't do normally during lunch. Instead of going to BBQ chicken (because I don't want fried stuff), I rather went to Burger King. As I don't need so many fried stuffs, I just order mushroom and grilled chicken burger.

I should have order the beef mushroom :(
My regular style to eat fries (useful when you're working and need to keep tidy)
After lunch, I went for some quick Internet surfing and Skype with my kids because I had a very quick lunch. Don't know why I don't want to mix with anyone lately and hope I'm not having any depression or pressure working in SG. Once done, I quickly settle all my work because I want to leave on the dot today and to reward myself to go for a good dinner and have a movie ... alone (yeah, you heard me).

When I reach DG, I plan to buy movie ticket first then enjoy my nice dinner but due to timing issue, I've to watch movie first because I don't want to home too late because if I watch 8/9pm show, I might reach home around 12+am. When I ask for the ticket price, the cashier told me S$11 and I was so surprised because I remembered weekday is only S$6.50 but this is new movie and 3D version, so have to pay extra. Damn, she should tell me earlier and nvm lah, since it's my birthday anyway. Because I felt a bit hungry so I went to buy the Nachos Combo and went into the cinema hall.

S$11 for movie and S$7.50 for Nachos combo

Since not much movie for me to pick, I finally picked Narnia and a bit worried because I never watch the past episode and I suddenly jump in half way. But after the show, it seems ok to me because they don't really talk/refer back to the previous episodes much so I can still treat it like a new show to me. Once finished, it's about 9pm and wanted to look for good food but I'm a bit full as the nachos was so cheesy and I only left few cents. So better head back to Hougang to withdraw money and have a simple dinner. Maybe will treat myself better on the exact Gregorian calendar birthday.

My wealth at that very moment
It seems the trip back to Hougang faster tonight as the crowd is less. During the trip, I think I saw one of my ex-course mate back in APIIT days and not sure if he recall me. Anyway I don't really like him because he was a bit arrogant during that time and the same goes to his GF. I'm not the only one feel this but the rest of the classmate too. I think he should noticed me because he pretend busy with his mobile, even I've tried to look at him several times hoping he will be generous and greet each other but too bad, still the same old him. When I walked out from MRT station, it was very busy and noisy because Hougang Central is having some night bazaar sales and everyone is browsing around. Stuffs look cheap there because T-shirt is about $7 - $10, imitation branded bags is from $5 - $30, etc.

As nothing attract me, so I went straight for dinner then home for some rest and Skype with family (also to compose this blog) ;)

Hopefully things will be more different on my actual birthday soon ... I think this is my first year not celebrating in KL, with family and have to work at the same time. Sigh ...
